Audio and captions
When you start listening, LiveCap uses the microphone to turn speech into text through Apple’s Speech framework. It requests on-device recognition when Apple reports support for the selected language. Otherwise recognition may use Apple’s servers and require a network connection. Local sound recognition also processes microphone audio while listening.
The reviewed release does not write audio recordings or conversation transcripts to an app history. Caption text is held in the current app session. Stopping listening leaves the displayed text available to read; changing language or mode resets it. Language choices and text-size preferences are saved on the device.
Translation
On supported iOS versions, LiveCap supplies recognized text to Apple’s Translation framework. Translation requires supported languages and may need language resources to be downloaded. Apple services and any associated provider processing are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Your choices
Tap the red button to stop listening. You can revoke Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in iPhone Settings. The app stops listening after a background transition or audio interruption and requires you to start it again.
Contact and other services
The reviewed app has no app account, developer-operated transcription endpoint or integrated advertising/third-party analytics SDK. If you contact us by email, we receive your address and the information you choose to send. Support emails are deleted annually. Do not include private conversation text in a support request.
This website and Apple’s store and operating-system services have their own data processing, separate from LiveCap’s conversation display.
